I am an associate professor in the Department of Curriculum, Foundations, and Reading at Georgia Southern University. I am also an affiliate faculty member of the Women's, Gender, and Sexualities Studies Program at Georgia Southern University. My teaching background includes educational foundations, social justice oriented teacher education, research methods, and courses that include service-learning experiences abroad.

I was informally adopted by two math teachers from my high school in Maine. I have a PhD in Educational Studies (Social & Cultural Foundations) and an MA in Women's Studies both from the University of Cincinnati (Cincinnati, OH). My BA is in English from Wheaton College (Norton, MA).
